Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plain-text password).

Preferences & Profile

To generate personalized meal plans, we collect:

• Your dietary preferences and allergies
• Cuisine preferences and cooking equipment
• Grocery budget and portion preferences
• Optional body profile (height, weight, age) used solely to estimate calorie targets — this is never shared externally

Meal & Cooking Activity

We store the meal plans we generate for you, your cook history, saved recipes, and ratings you provide on meals. This data is used to improve future plan recommendations.

Location

If you allow location access, we reverse-geocode your device location to a city-level string (e.g., "Atlanta, GA") to provide relevant cuisine suggestions. We never store GPS coordinates or precise location.

Device & Usage Data

We collect standard usage analytics (app interactions, feature usage) to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

• To generate personalized weekly meal plans using AI
• To remember your preferences and improve recommendations over time
• To send transactional and subscription-related emails, including account confirmation, password resets, subscription renewal notices, billing failure alerts, and other subscription management communications
• To process subscription payments
• To respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.

DailySabor uses trusted third-party services to operate, including providers for database hosting and authentication, AI-powered meal plan generation, subscription and payment management, transactional email delivery, and app distribution and in-app purchases (Apple). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.

To generate meal plans, certain in-app preferences — such as cuisine preferences, dietary restrictions, and your meal cook history — may be shared with our AI generation provider to inspire and personalize recipe suggestions. Your name, email address, and payment information are never sent to any third-party AI service. Data shared for generation purposes is not used to train any AI models under our agreements.

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Upon deletion, your application usage data — including meal preferences, cuisine settings, meal plans, and cook history — is removed within 30 days. Financial and transaction records may be retained longer where required by applicable law (for example, for tax or legal compliance purposes).

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure enclave (iOS Keychain). We never store passwords in plain text.

DailySabor is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data (contact us to request — we will fulfill export requests within 30 days)

We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 7 days before the changes take effect. For minor changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you do not agree to the revised policy, you may delete your account before the changes take effect. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
